  Resume  
    Prof.Du was born in Tianjin, China in 1961. He received the M.E. degree in electrical engineering from Ibaraki University, and the Ph.D. degree from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. From 1993-1996, he was a Teaching Assistant at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. During 1996-2002, he was with Niigata College of Technology, Niigata, Japan and was Associated Professor.  From 2000 to 2002, he was a Visiting Scientist at Niigata University, Niigata, Japan. Since 2002 he has been a Professor at the Department of Electrical  Engineering, Tianjin University, China. His research interests are focused on dielectric failure mechanisms of polymer insulating materials, electrical insulation  technology and partial discharge measurements.  He is a member of IEEJ, senior member of CSEE and senior member of IEEE. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on  Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation, and published more than 180 papers.
