    1. Perception, Navigation and Control of Autonomous Robots
  Sensor information acquisition and extraction, map building, position/orientation estimation for mobile robots, motion planning and control.  
2. Machine Olfaction
  Active olfaction (including odor/gas plume tracing, odor/gas source localization and plume modeling) and passive olfaction (including gas sensor array design, odor/gas recognition).
3. Ultrasonic Coding
  Coded excitation methods, application of coding ultrasound to industrial and medical fields.
4. Mobile Sensor Network
  Localization of mobile nodes, area coverage and distributed estimation.
