Electrical Automation Specialty Experimental Center, which was founded in 2003, is a national experimental teaching demonstration center, a national virtual reality experimental teaching demonstration center, an international science and technology cooperation base in Tianjin as well as an excellent teaching laboratory in colleges and universities. It is an experimental teaching center that opens to undergraduates and postgraduates majoring in Electrical Information. The laboratories take up 1,530 square meters in total and there are more than 12,000,000 yuan’s worth of over 800 sets of equipment and 11 full-time experimental teachers.
The center sets up 25 curriculum experiments, over 100 experimental projects and undertakes the teaching workload more than 120,000 hours for undergraduates per year. More than 50 teaching reform projects have been hosted, over 100 teaching reform papers have been published, nearly 50 course books have been composed by the full-time teachers in the center. There are more than 10 kinds of research and teaching equipment, over 100 sets altogether.
Since the center was founded, the principles and professors from University of Manchester, University of Huddersfield, National Taiwan University, Hong Kong University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Southeast University, Beijing Jiaotong University and industry-university cooperative teaching post in moderator of UNESCO have visited the center. The achievements were spoken highly by the experts worldwide.
