The School of Electrical and Information Engineering has 4 departments and 3 centers includingDepartment of Electrical Engineering, Department of Automation, Department of Electronic Information Engineering, Department of Communication Engineering, Modern Electrical and Electronic Technology Center, Electrical and Electronic Laboratory Teaching Center and Electrical and Automation Laboratory Center.
The electrical engineering department was formerly established by Peiyang University in 1933.Electrical engineering department has a strong teaching force, with 58 existing staff, including 18 professors,22 associate professors , 15 lecturers and 3 laboratory staff. Each year electrical engineering department recruit about 150 electrical engineering undergraduate students (4 year study), about 120 masters (2.5 year study), and 30 doctoral students (4 year study).
