On September 24th, the first 2017 Tianjin Power Supply Society-sponsored, School of Electrical and Information Engineering of Tianjin University-organized academic conference was hosted in the lecture hall of 26th Teaching Building at TJU. Dozens of members from the Tianjin Association of Science and Technology, China Power Supply Society, Tianjin University, Tianjin Zhonghuan JZ Technology Development Co. Ltd attended the conference.
The conference invited two members of the ‘Young overseas high-level talents introduction plan’, He Jinwei and Wang Yifeng, from Tianjin University, and Li Yang, from Tianjin Polytechnic University, to present academic reports on wide bandgap devices, wireless charging and micro-grid multi-converter harmonic suppression technology.
The three experts elaborated on the composition and development trend of the wide bandgap device, the development history and the prospect of wireless charging as well as the cutting edge of power conversion and control in the AC-DC micro-grid, and held discussions with the attendees.
Following the conference, Prof. Cheng Ze, Director of the Tianjin Power Supply Society, briefed the attendees on their recent work and future plans. He said that Tianjin Electric Power Society would always adhere to serving its members, strive to provide ever more communication channels for institutions and enterprises, enhance mutual understanding across disciplines within the power industry, and improve the overall level of science and technology within the industry.
