1.Discipline Characteristics

(1)Multidisciplinary Integration

Electronics and Information Engineering, one of the key technology of modern science, has shown strong absorption and fusion abilities on relevant academic and technological achievements, which is widely applied to the area of Life Sciences and Medicine, National Defense Industry, Manufacturing, Automatic Control, Consumer Electronics and so on.

(2)Being at the forefront of science and technology

New physical and chemical phenomenon, physiology and medicine laws can be found in the physical world with the aid of new instruments and technologies. Meanwhile, technical support has been provided for new progress and major breakthrough in natural science.

(3)Promoting technological progress

Electronics and Information Engineering has been considered as an important factor for driving social progress and development of hi-tech and industry.

2.Training Objectives

(1)Cultivating talents with solid foundation of basic engineering technology and systematic specialized theories;

(2)Developing capabilities of design and research in the area of electronic information systems;

(3)Developing capabilities of design, research and manufacture in modern electronic systems and various information processing systems;

(4)Cultivating leading technical professionals with solid fundamental knowledges, high quality, innovation spirit and practical ability.

3.Core Curriculum

(1) Fundamental theories:

Fundamentals of circuit analysis, signals and systems, fundamentals of electronic circuits, digital logic circuit, high frequency electronic circuit, digital signal processing, information theory and coding, communication principle, computer communication and network, wireless sensor networks and RFID, electromagnetism and etc.

(2) Professional Subjects:

Introduction to internet of things, image processing, TV principle, digital communication (English), statistical reasoning and modeling, big data analysis (English), modern digital signal processing, principle of automatic control, digital audio and video processing (English), multimedia applications, pattern recognition, electronic circuit design, electronic information design, design and experiment of electronic system and etc.
