(1).Discipline Characteristics

Considering the principle of automatic control as the guiding theory, the Automation major studies electrical and electronic technology, electrical technology, control theory, information processing, systems engineering, automatic testing and instrumentation, computer technology and its applications, network technology to implement information detection and automatic control.

With a wide range of engineering and technical basis and a certain basis of professional knowledge, the discipline will be applied to many fields including intelligent manufacturing, aerospace, biomedical engineering, deep learning and artificial intelligence,

big data processing, etc. In this way industrial process control, industrial information detection, mobile robot and aircraft automatic control, biological information detection and control, and autonomous learning of machines can be further developed.

(2).Training Objectives

Specifically, graduates of this discipline are expected to:

1. Gain solid knowledge of basic theory of nature science and engineering, Lay a strong foundation of humanity and social science, and management science, and Develop comprehensive ability of foreign languages.

2. Systematically master specialized knowledge in the Automation territory and basic engineering knowledge in other relevant territories. Be capable of analyzing and solving practical engineering problems with professional skills.
