The knowledge structure of master and doctoral students in this discipline mainly includes basic theoretical knowledge such as mathematics and physics; professional knowledge such as electrician theory, information processing, network analysis, system optimization; instrumental knowledge such as foreign language, computer and network technology.

Core Curriculum

(1)Fundamental theories: matrix theory, engineering and scientific calculations, linear control systems, nonlinear control systems, the principles and applications of intelligent systems, fuzzy theory and applications, etc;

(2)professional subjects: modern power system analysis, extra-high voltage power transmission system relay protection, RTDS experiment of electric power system EMS and protection, linear system theories, power system digital simulation, power system microcomputer protection, power marketing, distribution system analysis, electric power system stability analysis, modern power electronic technologies and applications, principles and applications of intelligent systems, stable domain theories and optimization applications (in English), etc.;

(3)Methodologies & tools:

professional academic research methodology, technical English writing, academic frontiers and academic ethics, foreign language, international academic exchange methodologies, dialectics of nature, software architecture, international intellectual property law, information retrieval&analysis, patent specifications & information analysis, etc.
