The Distributed Energy and Microgrid International Science and Technology Cooperation Base, Ministry of Science and Technology

The Distributed Energy and Microgrid International Science and Technology Cooperation Base, Ministry of Science and Technology,has undertaken 4 National “973” Projects, over 20 National “863” Projects, 2National Science Fund for Distinguished Youth Scholars Projects and over 100 national key projectsin recent years. Meanwhile, the Distributed Energy and Microgrid International Science and Technology Cooperation Base, Ministry of Science and Technology,has been rewarded with 2National Technology Invention Awards(Second Prize), 3 National Science and Technology Progress Awards(Second Prize), 1Ten Science and Technology Progress Awards of the Ministry of Education and 20 provincial prizes(First Prize). In this area, Tianjin University has led and participated in several international cooperation projects of smart grid among China, America, Sweden, Australia and the United Kingdom, and successfully host several international conferences in the area of energy internet. The research has been successfully applied to the CRI Community Microgrid System in the US power companies and in Whapmagoostui, Canada, with significant international impact.

The Distributed Energy and Microgrid International Science and Technology Cooperation Base, Ministry of Science and Technology, has carried out cooperative research with America (University of California at Berkeley, Cornell University and Stanford University), the United Kingdom (Cambridge University, Oxford University, Imperial College and University of Cardiff), Canada (Victoria University and University of Alberta) and Sweden (Royal Institute of Technology, KTH). In the past five years, over 100 highly cited SCI academic papers co-authored with the above co-sponsors were published, over 10 international conferences or forums were host by Tianjin University and co-organized by the international cooperative units. More than 10 special issues related to energy internet were achieved in internationally renowned academic magazines by both sides.
